How to Build Your Food Storage Week 1
I was given a book called “Practical Preparedness,” by Tina Monson and there is a guide on how to build your basic food storage for two people on $5.00 a week. It should take a year to build the basics and averages out to $5.00 a week, plus what the self storage unit costs every month to keep everything in a dry safe place.
According to the book, if you follow this plan, by the end of 52 weeks, you will have 700 pounds of wheat, 240 pounds of sugar, 40 pounds of powdered milk, 13 pounds of salt, 10 pounds of honey, 5 pounds of peanut butter, 45 cans of tomato soup, 32 cans of mushroom soup, 15 cans of tuna fish, 10 boxes of macaroni and cheese, 500 aspirin, 730 multiple vitamins, 6 pounds of dried yeast, and 6 pounds of shortening.
Week 1
This week, buy the following items for every 2 people:
– 2 cans tuna fish
– 2 containers salt
– 1 pound yeast
Wow….. It might be a nice book….. you have got.
