Oh For the Love of Dogs

Now that I’ve been blogging more frequently, I actually find myself thinking about what I can blog about.

Today, I was loading up the car seats in the back seat of a friend’s car. She owns 5 dogs! Busy lady! I looked up and noticed the strangest contraption. After a minute, I figured out exactly what it was.

It was a dog car seat! I couldn’t believe it! I’ve heard of infant car seats, regular car seats, and booster seats, but never a dog car seat! Then it go me thinking about dogs.

Dogs really have become man or woman’s best friend! However, I think some dog owners got lost in the translation of the differences between dogs and humans.

I see owners who dress their dogs up in costumes (usually the older people really get a kick out of doing this).

I’ve seen dogs with collars and matching sunglasses on (the owner even said the dog likes to put on and take the sunglasses off himself). Not quite sure how that’s done, but okay.

Then I found an ad for a dog backpack – 0kay!

We’ve all seen the celebrities or random people on the street carrying their dogs in their purses.

Some even carry their dogs in front of them – like a doggy bjorn or something?

Then we have the classic scene of the dog’s “owner” walking behind the dog and picking up the dog’s poop along the way! While I think it is courteous for owners to pick up poop after their dogs, I think it’s also somewhat degrading. All that is between you and that warm pile of feces is a plastic bag!

Anyways, just some random thoughts about dogs!
