I Need a Vacation from my Vacation

It’s after midnight and I’m waiting for some of our laundry from our trip to dry so we have clothes for church tomorrow….oh wait, I mean today.

We drove to Lake Crescent on the 1st and stayed in this way cute log cabin (more pics to come). We were in the cabins for 3 nights! It was great. There was a heater and 2 full-size beds (George, me, and the baby on one – with our sleeping bags – and Brian and Dallen on the other).

Then we drove to Fort Flagler and camped with a waterfront view! Sleeping on sleeping pads in a tent while trying to nurse a baby in the middle of the night is not the most comfortable thing to do. It was fun though – roughing it!

We also went to the Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend for 2 days (while we were camping at Fort Flagler). We were doing good on avoiding sunburns for the first few days of our trip, but between yesterday and today, I’d have to say we are all a little red in the face.

I need a vacation from my vacation!
